“Home” Renovations Almost Complete

You know how it is…home renovations always cost more - and take longer to finish - than we estimate. So I am happy to say that the structural improvements at the Spiker Family Gathering Place are almost complete. Pretty much all that remains to be done is to add a few decorative touches such as photos, paintings, scrapbooks, etc. If you have any treasures you think would “spruce up the place a bit,” be sure to bring them over when you stop by. Spiker Family Reunion - Schedule of Events

It’s almost time for the annual Spiker Family Reunion. Will you be there this year?

Saturday, May 23

Gates open to all. Campsites w/electrical hookups available. Campfire, ATV rides, etc.

Sunday, May 24

9:00 AM - Set-up tables, tents, cooking pit equipment, etc. Chicken will be provided. Please bring a covered dish and/or drinks.

10:00-10:30 AM - Chef Jeff Spiker (“with his clean pipes & heart fixed”, per Mike) will need chicken cleaners, turners & assistants as he starts cooking.

12:00-12:30 PM - Opening Ceremonies:

• Welcome,
• Remarks,
• News,
• Prayer.

Followed immediately by PHOTO SESSION (please be on time)

12:30-1:00 PM - Let’s EAT !

1:00 PM – Activities:

• Gift Drawing - sign-up when you arrive
• Auction - please bring an item to be auctioned
• Fishing Rodeo - prizes will be awarded for biggest, smallest & most fish.
• Kids Games
• Corn Hole Tournament - see Jonelle Swiger for sign-ups.
• ATV Riding
• Playing/Swimming in the creek/river/pond at your own risk & at your convenience

ALL DAY – Good conversation, good food & good friendships.
